You know that moment when someone says, “Hey, let’s try something new!” and suddenly you're sprinting across a field, chasing a flying disc with coworkers on a Monday evening!
That was us this week. 😄
One of our amazing colleagues (big shoutout to Juho Pulakka 🙌) organized an intro session to Ultimate (Frisbee) - not just as a sport, but as a way to unplug, get moving, and try something a little outside our comfort zones.
Let’s be real: Mondays usually get a bad rap. But this one? It turned into a highlight of the week.
Here’s what we learned out on the field:
🧠It’s part strategy, part chaos
🫶 You really have to trust your teammates
💬 Clear communication = smooth passes (and smoother projects)
😅 Sprinting after a disc is surprisingly humbling
😂 And apparently, some of us are way more competitive than we thought
But above all, it was fun. The kind of fun that gets you talking to colleagues from different teams. The kind that reminds you how much culture matters, and how important it is to make space for joy and connection in the middle of all the work we do.
We talk a lot about collaboration, communication, and innovation - but it’s moments like this that remind us those values go way beyond the meeting room. Culture isn’t just what we say - it’s what we live, even on a Monday night.
Whether you nailed the perfect throw, fumbled every catch, or just came out to cheer from the sidelines, it was one of those simple-yet-memorable moments that brought us closer together.
